Wednesday, April 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., most of the campus’ event space will be reserved for “DeStress Fest.” Current students are entitled to free participation as part of the “Wellness Wednesdays” initiative.
The event will include:
- Free hotdogs and hamburgers
- Food trucks
- Live music
- Free massages
- TheraPets
- Student duathlon
- Obstacle course
- Petting zoo
- Mini-games
- Cornhole
- Community resource booths
The Patriot Talon is partnering with The Office of the Dean of Students this year to host live music and sponsor the community resource booths. As the voice of the student body, we have chosen 15 businesses in the Tyler community which promote wellness and can aid in developing healthy mechanisms to cope with stress. These booths range from vintage clothing stores to skateboard clubs that are raffling off a free complete pro-style skateboard. Hang out with us on Harvey Deck and enjoy a collection of chill pop and alternative music performances. We’ll also be featuring wholesome comedians from Rose City Comedy Club!
