Through March 6, UT Tyler is accepting a third round of Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) grant application so that students who have been financially affected by “the disruption of operations due to COVID-19” may receive some financial assistance, according to its
While any student who was enrolled on March 13, 2020, and who has “incurred COVID-19 related expenditures in Cost of Attendance categories” can apply, priority will be given to a few specific categories of students. These include those who were not awarded money in the fall of 2021, and those who have shown previous financial need (such as federal Pell Grant recipients or those who have unmet Cost of Attendance). International and DACA students are also eligible to apply for this grant.
Funds will be given out until the grant is exhausted.
Students who are selected to receive an award will be notified of the decision within one to two weeks of the application’s close on March 6. Awarded students should have a refund preference set up on BankMobile in order to receive their award.
