Katherine Jennings, SGA President, is encouraging students to participate in the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)

The survey is designed to “inform UT Tyler leadership for future planning.” NSSE had 601 participating colleges and universities in 2020 with 284,242 students responding.

At UT Tyler, students will be able to complete the survey until April 15. Upon completing the survey, students will be automatically entered into a monthly drawing.

Freshman prizes include free UT Tyler parking in 2022-2023, a breakfast station, a Keurig, and a charging station with lamp. All range in value from $40 to $120.

Senior prizes include diploma frames, graduation regalia, and a charging station with lamp.

Three grand prizes will be awarded at the end of NSSE. The prizes include two Nintendo Switch game systems ($400 value each) and one iPad Air ($600 value).

The probability of winning is dependent on student participation. 3,067 students were invited to participate.

To participate, students must log in to their MyUTTyler Portal and select the NSSE Survey box.

Upon clicking, students will be prompted with a message from Katherine Jennings, inviting them to participate in the survey. All students must do is to click the text reading, “Click here to complete the survey” to be redirected to the survey.

Anyone with questions should contact Lou Ann Berman at or 903-565-5955.
