Patriot Productions hosted a spooky cookie-decorating event Oct. 3 in the University Center in the spirit of Halloween with a sprinkle of creativity,
It provided an opportunity for students to have a break between classes while designing fun cookies. There was also music and free drinks.
“Making cookies, listening to music, drinking some Coke. What else could I say more?” Kevin Bui, one of the cookie decorators, said.
Bui wasn’t the only one happy with the event. Many people stopped by for a fun, creative and delicious time.
“We had a really good turnout,” Sophie Waller, vice president of Patriot Productions, said. “We had about 151 people show up for it. Which is a lot more than we were expecting. We always want more than less.”
THE EVENT
As students walked into the University Center, they encountered a row of tables, stacked with frostings, sprinkles and other essentials for designing cookies. Patriot Production members gave each person a choice of sugar or chocolate chip cookie and a drink.
From there, students were able to relax and design their cookies with creativity in the spirit of the spooky season.
PATRIOT PRODUCTIONS
Patriot Productions is a student organization that hosts events like this one to more elaborate ones, like a Pickleball Tournament. Waller and her team try to make sure students’ time on campus is fun and engaging.
For this event, they wanted to let students be creative, while giving them a treat to eat.
“I personally think it gives them a good break between classes to have a sweet treat,” Chase Frank, marketing officer for Patriot Productions, said.
