On Sept. 18, the Hispanic Student Association held a Hispanic Heritage Month celebration on Harvey Deck featuring a live mariachi band and vocalists, a local taco truck and multiple activities that highlighted Hispanic culture. Activities included painting an alebrije, a brightly colored Mexican folk art sculpture, decorating a mini, pre-filled piñata and a “Guess the Flag” booth featuring flags of Hispanic countries. The celebration was lively and exciting.
