TSM Staff

Aaliyah Flores is a senior majoring in marketing. She has a myriad of hobbies including: crafting, creating art, gaming, listening to music and player various instruments. In her free time, she attends concepts and explores new things with friends. Outside of the Talon, she is developing her marketing experience, and she intends to learn more about the massive world of digital media.

Alexa Chavez is a senior marketing major. In her free time she enjoys thrifting, up-cycling clothes and furniture. She loves everything fashion and trends. Her job outside of the talon is managing the social media for Compass Chiropractic.

Amelia Matecek is a junior majoring in fine arts with a minor in graphic design. In her free time, she often paints, crafts, thrifts and listens to dad rock. While thrifting, she is always on the search for old, weird photographs to reference in her art. In the future, she plans to pursue a career in either graphic design or animation. In any career or path she finds herself in, she'd be happy as long as she can express her creativity.

Chase Upton is a junior majoring in mass communications with a lifelong passion for sports. He has worked as a sports media assistant at Dallas College Richland and Tyler Junior College, gaining experience in journalism, photography and broadcasting. In his free time, Chase enjoys playing basketball, watching sports on TV, reading and spending time with his family and his dog, Ryder. He hopes to turn his passion for sports into a career as a play-by-play commentator.

Ellie Vallery is a senior majoring in mass communication with a minor in graphic design. She loves traveling, hiking or anything in nature. She also enjoys concerts, going to the gym, doing crafts and collecting plants. Eventually, she wants a job that allows her to express her creativity through art and storytelling.

Karleigh Yancy is a senior majoring in mass communication. She is a proud fanatic of music, enjoying her own made 90 playlists on Spotify. She also delights in art, fashion, film and loves all varieties of creative media. Outside of TSM, she currently works as a graphic designer.

Orion Baker is a junior majoring in mass communications. He loves to collect comics and records. Outside of TSM, he likes to relax and appreciate the fine, interesting details of various media. He also has an interest in uncovering the history of niche topics. In the future, he wants to find a career that allows him to express creativity and freedom.

Paulina Mata is a senior majoring in mass communication. In her free time, she loves to knit and crotchet, listen to music and stress bake cookies. While spending her time online, she enjoys finding media and video ideas for TSM’s social media.

PJ Carrington is a senior majoring in computer science. He loves both photography and video games. He also finds himself listening to music, watching movies and TV shows and reading comic books and manga. He has done photography for five years, and he has worked with Adobe products for six years. Outside of the Talon, he is pursuing a photography business. In the future, he would like to be a professional photographer or a video game designer.

Santiago Nunez is a graduate student studying in mass communication. He enjoys reading comic books, listening to music, observing art and all other creative interests. In regards to multimedia, he is well versed with video and photo cameras, and he has been using Adobe editing suite for seven years. He hopes to find a career that allows him to express himself authenticity and use his faculties to spread messages.
