Applications are being accepted for editor-in-chief of Talon Student Media.
TSM is the university’s award-winning independent student media. It produces content on The Patriot Talon website and its Instagram and Facebook platforms.
The EIC oversees how talent and resources are used.
Duties including:
- recruiting;
- representing student media when dealing with administation and faculty;
- making policy decisons;
- resolving disputes;
- filling staff positions;
- mentoring.
The position runs from the start of May 2026 to the end of April 2027. The EIC sets their own hours. The workload varies depending on inituitives and challenges.
The EIC works closely with Danny Mogle, TSM’s adviser, to establish and maintain professional standards.
The position is open to full-time students who can commit to both semesters of the 2026-2027 academic year. Applicants can have any major and do not have to be currently affiliated with student media.
Applicants should send their resume and a cover letter to Mogle at by April 1.
A panel of faculty members and administators will review applications and interview applicants to fill the position.
The EIC receives a scholarship.
